Event Overview

The annual SCU Discovery Day provides students with the opportunity to explore their courses of interest and potential career outcomes. Sessions will cover courses available at Southern Cross University's three campuses, university life, STAR Early Entry, costs and scholarship opportunities. There will also be a question and answer session with current university students.

*this event is for all new year 12 (class of 2018) students

9.45am - Schools arrive

10am - SCU and You Info Session

11am - Course Info Session 1**

11.45am - BBQ Lunch & Entertainment

12.30pm - Course Info Session 2**

1.25pm - Q&A Session with current students

2pm - Schools depart

** The course information sessions will give students the opportunity to investigate their two most preferred study areas and will cover all courses offered at Coffs Harbour, Lismore and Gold Coast campuses

CIVIL ENGINEERING / MECHANICAL ENGINEERING / COASTAL SYSTEMS ENGINEERING - Design of structures, hydrology, soil mechanics, transport engineering. Design of machinery, water supply, vibration, acoustics and noise control, robotics, heat transfer and refrigeration, energy technology, consumer product design. CLINICAL SCIENCES (OSTEOPATHIC STUDIES) - The Bachelor of Clinical Sciences (Osteopathic Studies) has a strong clinical focus and provides students with a comprehensive grounding in biomedical science and health.
